Hoshi no Yume Illumination✨️

Hoshi no Yume Illumination is an event where the moat around Goryokaku is illuminated with nearly 2,000 lights to create a star-shaped illumination. Goryokaku is lit daily during the period.

Note: Due to renovation work on the Uramon Bridge at Goryokaku this year, the illumination has been relocated to the outside of the moat. Therefore, the actual view may differ from the photos shown. We appreciate your understanding.

This is an image showing how it looks this year with the illumination moved to the outside of the moat.

*Notes on the views from the observation deck.
while viewing the fort from the observatory, it will look slightly blue during sunset and black after the sun goes down. Please also note that Goryokaku looks different with or without snow depending on the weather conditions such as snow accumulation.
